The true first of this work was published in 1946. With original unclipped dustwrapper. The author Howard Browne wrote this work under one of his many pseudonyms, John Evans. Browne wrote dozens of mystery works and was also an editor of science fiction works. In original cloth binding and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Dustwrapper is also in excellent condition. A Few handling marks to wraps and minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned at edges due to paper used. Otherwise, clean throughout. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
