[2] half-title; illustrated Frontice; title; publisher's page; contents; author's note; pp.9-314; [1]; photo acknowledgement; [2]. 185 black and white colour plates, with many more black and white illustrations throughout, captioned with notes and text details. Each chapter begins with a written focus toward the artist, his work and his influences.
Some rubbing to fabric on back cover. Minor markings to cover edge near bottom: small black mark (0.25 cm) and one thin orange mark (1 cm) along page edge.
Eduard Munch (1863-1944) was a Norwegian artist. Munch's best known/wide recognized piece is, The Scream. Munch's unique style comes from "soul painting", the urge to paint his own emotions in connection with his psychological state.
