Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1959. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. First edition, first printing of the author's debut work. Signed by Philip Roth and inscribed to a former owner on the title page. Bound in publisher's original black cloth with spine lettered in yellow and white. Near Fine with light edge wear and softening to the corners, in a Very Good unclipped dust jacket, toned at the spine and edges, with a series of indentations to the spine and edge worn.

Sinopse

Goodbye, Columbus (1959) is the title of the first book published by the American novelist Philip Roth, a collection of six stories. In addition to its title novella, set in New Jersey, Goodbye, Columbus contains the five short stories "The Conversion of the Jews," "Defender of the Faith," "Epstein," "You Can't Tell a Man by the Song He Sings," and "Eli, the Fanatic.
