London: Hodder & Stoughton,, 1934. First edition in book form, first impression, of the author's best known work, here in exceedingly fresh condition with the scarce wraparound band. Good-bye Mr. Chips was originally published as a supplement to The British Weekly the preceding year. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, decorated endpapers. With pictorial dust jacket. A near-fine copy, the jacket a little rubbed at extremities, with only slight dust-soiling, and the wraparound band preserved.
