This is an antique collection of poetry and prose, "GIFTS OF THE WISE MEN" by a variety of writers. Circa 1910's (there is no date of publication stated); The Acmegraph Company; Chicago. There are 64 numbered pages. Writers include Walt Whitman, Poor Richard, Helen Hunt Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Louis Stevenson, Thomas Moore, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Goethe, John Milton, Alfred Tennyson, Oliver Goldsmith, Robert Browning, William Cullen Bryant, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, John Ruskin, Robert Burns, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Seneca, James Russell Lowell, Voltaire, George Eliot, Plato, Aurelius, William Makepeace Thackeray, John Greenleaf Whittier, John Keats, Alexander Pope...and many more. The book measures 6 3/4" tall x 5/8" wide.

Condition:
This appear to be a custom-bound copy, as the title illustration at the center of the front cover looks as though is was hand-cut, presumably from the original front cover. Nonetheless, it is still nicely bound with string - both covers and all pages are securely attached. A few pages at the front have creases lower-outer corner tips. The pages are mostly clean - page 3 has some stains at the bottom half; the last page has a stain at the upper inner corner, and a small bit of blueish paper remnant affixed at the lower-inner corner. There is a lengthy poem written in pen on the blank page preceding the title page. Overall the book is in Good condition.
