New York: Hodder and Stoughton, 1882. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 8vo. 520 pages, indexed. Hardcover in green cloth. EX LIBRARY BOOK WITH FULL MARKINGS. Binding is scuffed, has soil marks and rubbing .Spine has tape residue near foot. Headcap is bumped , has small tear in cloth on left side. Foot has fraying. Bottom of text block has stamp marks from a library. Front pastedown has bookplate from Davis Memorial Library at Methodist College , noting the book is from the Allen C. Lee Collection. Mr. Lee has signed the front flyleaf and noted "Red Springs, NC 3/4 1948". A 1 inch long chip is removed from top of front flyleaf. Signature not affected. Rear pastedown has a card pocket affixed to it and a card within. A modern bar code is at the bottom edge. Rear gutter is broken. Still attached near foot. Cords show. Title page has stamp mark from Rev Lee's private library. A penciled notation on copyright page. Library blindstamp on preface page.
