Finland, 1950. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. An original and extremely scarce Finnish A2 film poster for the Roy Rogers movie THE GAY RANCHERO. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related The film was screened for the first time in Finland in May 1950 and there were no further theatrical releases. A very rare treasure of movie memorabilia. Printed in Finland by Piiropaino Oy, the legendary Finnish printers. Signed at lower right corner by the designer (in the plate or stone) Measures 24.50" x just under 17.50" approx. A truly remarkable example - thin paper stock as you would expect from the era, it has been stored flat for decades but even so retains its original fold lines to centre in both directions. No pin holes and no tape residues to verso, however. Despite its fragility there are no nicks or tears to the edges but there is one very small chip (with loss, therefore) to the top edge towards the left. Fine or very near it.
