Sobre este item

New York: The College Board, 2002. Hardcover. 8vo. Ivory cloth with green spine lettering, pictorial dust jacket. xxi, 121pp. Illustrations. Fine/fine. Pristine first edition, handsomely inscribed and signed by the author in blue fineline on front flyleaf: "Robert Malott / Thanks for what you do / for KU, Bob. / Gene A. Budig." Budig (1939-2020) was a noted university president and last president (1994-99) of baseball's now-defunct American League. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist. "KU" references the University of Kansas, of which Budig served as president -- as did Malott's father, Deane W. Malott (1939-51).
