History of Brazil's 1889 revolution, with twenty-nine black and white illustrated plate portraits of notable Brazilian politicians, plus one folding quarto illustration captioned "Entrega da mensagem a D. Pedro II, pelo Major Solon, no dia 16 de Novembro de 1889." Also includes one color plate of Brazil's national flag, probably tipped in after the fact as it doesn't appear in the list of illustrations. According to a penciled notation on the fly-leaf, the lithographs are by Facchinetti and Hastoy. Custom bound in quarter leather with marbled boards and endpapers. Only one listing on OCLC.
