Daniel Woolsey Voorhees was a United States Senator from Indiana, a leader of the Democratic party and an anti-war Copperhead during the Civil War. A close friend of Abraham Lincoln, due to his stature he gained the nickname "the Tall Sycamore of the Wabash". A quite SCARCE and handsome 2 volume set. . First Edition. Decorative Cloth.
