First American. 8 vo, 496 pp. Publisher's light olive cloth lettered in red to the spine. Red top edge. A bright and clean near fine copy in a VG+ dustwrapper with just a touch of wear at the spine tips and at the top right hand corner of the front panel. Inscribed by the Author on the half-title to Amy Johnston (of Macmillan): "Amy Johnston/ from Michael Sadleir/ this is the real 'first'/ Dec '46". Photographs/scans available upon request.
