Fenno & Company's original series of approximately thirteen pamphlets of Oscar Wilde's poetry issued by R. F. Fenno & Company. The table of contents list the poems; Impressions: I. Les Silhouettes II. La Fuite de la Lune, The Grave of Keats, Theocritus: A Villanelle, In The Gold Room: A Harmony, Ballade De Marguerite, The Dole of the King’s Daughter, Amor Intellectualis, Santa Decca, A Vision, Impression De Voyage, The Grave Of Shelley, and By The Arno. This poetry was generally derided by Wilde's critics as lightweight and derivative of Algernon Charles Swinburne's work. Some of these poems are reprinted from Poems, by Wilde, the first collection of poetry that in most cases had previously appeared in periodicals. The listed poems are followed by two blank leaves and the poem The Ballad of Reading Gaol, which does not appear in the table of contents page. Perhaps The Ballad, arguably a better work, redeems the short poems in this volume. This edition is a reprint of the first thus from R. F. Fenno, who originally issued Flowers of Gold and The Ballad of Reading Gaol as individual pamphlets. Given the blank leaves and the lack of inclusion in the table of contents, it's likely The Ballad was included late in production to increase the page count of the reprint. The title page includes a decoration of a shelf with books and candles. Glossy, laid paper pastedowns and endpapers. In mustard yellow, cloth wraps with gilt title to the front, framed by a gilt, stylized garland. Unpaginated and approximately 60 pp. Undated, but presumed to be c.1900. No copies of this edition are found in OCLC. In Very Good condition quite uncommon.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 60 pages .
