Herbert George "H. G." Wells was a British author. He was creative in various categories, such as the novel, history, politics, social commentary, and textbooks and procedures for war games. H. G. is now well celebrated for his science fiction stories and is known as the "father of science fiction", together with Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback. His highly significant science fiction novels are The Time Machine, The Island of Doctor Moreau,The Invisible Man, and The War of the Worlds. He was a nominee for the Nobel Prize in Literature in four instances.

His first specific training was in biology, and his thoughts on moral standards came about in a particularly and essentially Darwinian perspective.
