Sobre este item
Paris: Editions Baudinière, 1928. FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this early account of the island of Nosy Be, off Madagascar, and of the voyage through Africa to reach it. 255 pp. From a large-paper edition of only 27 copies, THIS IS COPY NUMBER 1, ONE OF ONLY TWO COPIES PRINTED ON IMPERIAL JAPANESE PAPER AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. 8vo. Original wraps decorated with a color-printed map of Africa (including Madagascar). FINE AND BRIGHT. The justification clearly states that only the 27 large-paper copies constitute the true first edition. Such copies are extremely rare.
