REBOUND in red cloth that closely matches the original, spine lettered in gilt closely matching the original, original map EPs preserved and placed in new cover exactly as they were in the original. BOOK CONDITION: covers are in new condition with no soiling, no rubbing, no fading. No previous owner marks or writing on any pages, NOT ex-library, tight binding, no foxing, no creased or folded pages, complete with no missing pages, no missing plates, no missing charts or maps, page 377 has two 15mm chips in outside margin (no loss of text), the map on the rear end-page has some rubbing and scuffs (see photo). As usual, LACKING the original dust jacket. Book measures 227mm tall x 147mm, and has 381 pages, 48 b/w photos, 2 EP maps, 1 chart, 7 appendices. USA first edition has more photos than the first UK edition. USA edition has b/w photo frontispiece and 47 b/w photos on 15 double-sided leaves. UK edition has b/w photo frontispiece and 33 b/w photos on 15 double-sided leaves. Both have the same (and same number) chapter heading illustrations. PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
