Sobre este item
Sherman Oaks, CA: General Holdridge Minute Men, 1960. Ephemera. Five leaflets of various formats stapled together at corner with a signed cover note, some toning; last leaflet, which is 8.5x14 inches, is crinkled and worn. The group includes the following messages from Holdridge: "Jesuit 'Big Lie'" (single sheet printed both sides), "A plague on both their houses!" (4p.), an open letter to the President asking that Vatican agents be classified as subversives (4p.), "Climax!" (a letter written to the Pope (4 p.), and a leaflet reprinting a letter to Nixon and Kennedy asking them both to drop out because their campaigns are unconstitutional. After flirting with the Socialist Party, Holdridge (the only general to retire during WW II) ran under the American Rally banner as a peace candidate in the 1950s. In 1960 he established the "Constitutional Provisional Government of the United States.
