Sobre este item

New York: Walker and Company, 1982. Near fine in very good plus dust jacket.. First edition of Elkins's first novel, introducing the smooth-talking, mystery-solving physical anthropology professor Gideon Oliver. Elkins, himself an anthropology professor with several paper publications to his name, drew on his own experiences to create the character Gideon Oliver, who continued to solve bone-based mysteries across 17 subsequent novels. 8.25'' x 5.5''. Original tan boards with red metallic lettering. Original unclipped ($11.95) color pictorial dust jacket, designed by Edgar Blankeny. 212 pages. Jacket with a bit of edgewear, light sunning to spine; one small closed tear, repaired with tape to verso. Binding with mild bumping to spine ends. Shows nicely.
