First edition; small 8vo, pp. [8], 3-59, [3]; frontispiece photograph of the author by Frederick Hollyer; full contemporary red crushed levant, spine in 6 compartments, gilt-lettered in 2, gilt turn-ins, t.e.g., red paper chemise; fine. Laid in is a letter from Alfred D. Eddy, a lawyer who resided in Chicago at the time of publication. The letter is hand-written on Queen writing paper with a royal crest watermark. In the letter, Eddy writes to his friend (a woman), that he took a trip with William Watson on the Rhine and refers her to this book as an example of Watson's creativity and talent.
