Sobre este item
New York: W.W. Norton & Company. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. (c.1929). First Edition. Hardcover. [a sharp-looking copy with minimal shelfwear; the jacket has some wear along the top and bottom edges, with a few stray nicks and minor creasing, and a sliver of paper loss from the top of the spine]. Ten stories of adventure in the South Seas, this was the author's third published book. The jacket blurbs liken his work to that of Robert Louis Stevenson and Frank Norris, and the New York Times critic commented: "We only wish we might have a book from John Russell to read every week." Russell was also an active screenwriter, with a number of significant credits in the 1920s, among them the first movie version of BEAU GESTE and D.W. Griffith's THE SORROWS OF SATAN. .
