A clean crisp copy with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket lightly spine sunned and surface soiled, with a few minor nicks & creases to edge. Near Fine in a Very Good jacket. War-time novel by the British and later American author (1916-68), set in a British regiment crossing a barren desert. Scarce, particularly in the fragile jacket.
