Sobre este item

This is Volume I of a three volume set. The volumes collected "...Fremont's personal and public papers pertinent to his early travel, gathered from scores of sources throughout the United States. The earliest documents cover his explorations in the upper Mississippi Valley with Joseph N. Nicollet." Also included are Fremont's official reports of the 1842 expedition to South Pass and the Wind River Mountain, and of the 1843-44 expedition to Oregon and California. Vividly reflected in these accounts is Fremont's interest in botany, natural science, and photography. Contains 26 Illustrations & 4 maps, 2 folded.
Hardcover boards are wine red and brown cloth, lettered in gilt on spine and front cover.
In as new condition throughout. DJ has one tiny chip at top of spine, otherwise in fine condition. DJ is price clipped. Mylar protected.
