Large folio (1525" x 12"), xvii pages followed by 66 color plates with descriptive text & tissue guards interleaved, the plates printed by William Griggs "chromo-lithographer to Her Majesty the Queen." Publisher's gilt-lettered blue cloth Top edge gilt, the others uncut, decorated endpapers.
Binding rubbed, soiled, & faded at the spine & margins, fraying at spine extremities & corners, upper joint partially split, corners bruised, text block cracked in a couple of places, modest internal toning, Good or so & still quite serviceable.
This copy from the library of noted collector Otto Orren Fisher with his bookplate at the front pastedown. In 1949, Fisher donated the most significant books of his 80,000 volume collection, including four Shakespeare Folios, to his alma mater, Miami University.
