Sobre este item

This First Edition copy of Empire, A Visual Novel by Samuel R. Delany, Author & Howard V. Chaykin, Illustrator was published in 1978 by Berkley Publishing Corporation and distributed by G. P. Putnam's Sons, both organizations from New York. The book was printed in the United States. The contents of the book are a copyright of Byron Preiss Visual Publications, Inc., also of New York. The book's ISBN number is 0399122451. The book is stated, on the dust jacket's flap, to be "the first full-color visual novel by a major science fiction author and an award-winning graphic story artist to be published in America".

The book, which measures approximately 9 inches wide by 12.25 inches tall by 0.75 inches thick, contains over 300 full-color illustrations, adorned with text, to tell the tale of life in the 61st century – some 4000 years from now. The book is hard bound in black cloth covered boards, with the book's title blind stamp lettered on the front cover, and gilt lettering on the spine. The book is enclosed in its original decorated paper dust jacket. The book is in as new condition; the dust jacket shows some signs of wear along the folds and edges, but is still in near fine condition.

The illustrations accompanying this description shows the front face of the dust jacket, the book's title page, and three typical two-page spreads of color illustrations with text.
