Published by Adam & Charles Black, 1909. 1st edition.. Hardback. Good. Illustrated by Whymper, Charles. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Fawn cloth with gilt titles to spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. Yellow, green and orange decoration to spine; 51 tissue-guarded colour plates as well as 11 line drawings in text. 2 page original booklist to rear. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Black mark to top edge of outer page edges (over gilt). Joints are a little cracked. Small damp marks along top edge and bottom corner of front endpaper. Some foxing and marks throughout. Light browning to plate margins.

Returns:

If a book is found to be substantially not as described then we shall provide a full refund including return postage otherwise you shall be repsonible for cost of return postage. Please phone or email before returning any item. An immediate refund will be given on receipt of any books returned.
