NY: George H. Doran. NF. 1926. 1st American Edition. Hardcover. First U.S. edition bound in red cloth with black blocking and design. A collection of short stories of mystery, horror and suspense set in L ondon's Limehouse district. A near fine copy in a good dust jacket. Th e book has light dust soiling to the edge of the page blocks and mild foxing to the endpapers. The dust jacket is damp stained at the lower 4" of the panels leaving red 'bleed through" on the panels. There is a 1 1/2" chip at the head of the spine and smaller chips at the base of the spine and at the corners. Price has also been clipped from the in side flap. Jacket is servicable but damaged. .
