The publisher's blurb brags on the nearly 160,000 words and the plates (one colored, 300 in monochrome, being reproductions of 413 drawings in water-color or allied media, illustrating the work of 264 great English artists. Sterling condition hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Bound handsomely in oatmeal cloth, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to cover and spine. A bit of scuffing along bottom edges, none discernible to top. Simple print dust jacket, showing only very minor wear, protected by a plastic coat, not price-clipped. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xxii [1], 1-266pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
