Sobre este item

England: Faber & Faber, 1990. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7?" - 9?" tall. Type: Hardback First Thus. First Faber & Faber Edition. Hardcover and Dust Jacket in Very Good Condition. "The Dwarfs" is Harold Pinter's first and only novel, written before he began writing plays. His novel has many characteristics of his plays in which he dramatizes ordinary events, which become charged with profound, elusive meaning. "The Dwarfs" portrays the lives of four Londoners in post-war Britain. The text was fundamentally written over the period 1952-1956. For this 1989 edition, five chapters were cut and other passages were reorganized or condensed. First published 1960. Binding of black cloth w/white titles, very clean and unmarked, with upper corners gent;y bumped, upper front corner has a tiny scuff to the inside of the corner tip. Sewn binding is tight & solid, square. Pages faintly toned, quite clean, no markings of any kind. Jacket illustration by Andrzej Klimowski. 183 pages. 9.5 x 6.25 inches. 1990, Faber & Faber, London, England.
