Sobre este item
Durham: Andrews & Co. , 1881. Cloth. Very Good. 9" by 5.5". None. A smart copy of this scarce address given at Durham Cathedral in September 1879. Scarce work. With a frontispiece and a fold-out plan of the cathedral to the rear. Collated complete. An address delivered in Durham Cathedral to the Berwickshire Naturalists' Club and the Durham and Northumberland Archaeological and Architectural Society. Regarding the earliest introduction of Christianity to the North of England and the establishment of the Benedictine Order at Durham following the Norman Conquest. Delivered by William Greenwell, an English archaeologist and Church of England priest. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, smart with light bumping to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. A 1" split to the cloth at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Age toning and light spotting to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good
