Sobre este item
The Detective Book Club produced volumes of three crime novels from 1942 to 1999. Originally monthly, near the end they dwindled down to just a few per year. Many famous detective and crime novelists had their early works featured in DBC editions. Often, books were published in DBC editions before, or at the same time as they were published in mass market form. A little about our authors:
Michael Underwood: Michael Underwood was the pen name of British writer John Michael Evelyn, who passed away in 1992. He penned 48 novels, of which eight were stand-alone novels and the rest featured one of five recurring investigators. The largest series featured Rose Epton as the sleuth (16). This is the eleventh Rose Epton Mystery.
Herbert Resnicow: Resnicow was a civil engineer who turned to writing at age 60. Over the next 17 years, Resnicow turned out 17 mysteries, including co-written works with Edward Koch, Fran Tarkenton, Tom Seaver, and Pele. The twelve novels written on his own are in three short series. Resnicow died in 1997. This is the fifth of five in the Alexander Gold series.
Delores Weeks: I have very little information of Dolores Weeks. She seems to have published only two novels, both set in Washington's San Juan Islands, and both included in DBC anthologies. I found one indication that she may have died in 1991, but the article wouldn't load.

Thanks for visiting Turtleman Books.
Opened August 1st of 2022, Turtleman Used Books in Olympia, WA. Address is 108 22nd Ave SW, Olympia, WA 98501. Suite #4. This is a small shop, so some books may only be displayed online, others only displayed in the store. Come on by if you are in town. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Many of my books are oversized. Rather than ask for shipping adjustments at the time of purchase, the list price for heavier books includes the excess shipping cost. All of my photographs are of the actual product, taken by my trusty little Kindle Fire. Currently we have about 2900 books offered for sale online, with more being added daily. Check back frequently to see what's new. -----
