Gray cloth, titles and series insignia stamped in red on the cover and spine: lower corner creased, edges moderately sunned, leaves crisp and binding tight. In the two-color illustrated dust jacket, author portrait on back flap, price $2.75 intact on the front flap upper corner: lower front flap corner clipped, very slight edge-wear. The blurb claims this novel "is anything but a tranquilizer." Brinton was a British political activist who, upon failing in several elections to win a seat in Parliament, turned to astronomy and writing thrillers. Dust jacket preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
