Stories and folklore from the famous Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas. The Driskill was built in 1885 by Jesse Lincoln Driskill who was among the first to trail cattle to the railheads in the North. He settled in Austin and opened the hotel, which is possibly the most storied hotel in Texas (It's just south of the State Capitol). One old timer always called it the 'Old Wagon Yard'. Fabulous stories. The book is in very good condition with only a slight bump on the bottom front spine. There is a gift inscription on the first free end paper. The clear dust jacket is torn and chipped front and back, but it did its job.I believe this is the first and only edition.

Inscription to Mrs. Charles T. McCormick, wife of the Dean of the University of North Carolina's School of Law from 1927 to 1931.
