A charming set of the dramatic works of William Shakespeare, including all of his comedies, histories, and tragedies.William Shakespeare (1564-1616) was an Elizabethan playwright, poet, and actor. He is often referred to as the greatest writer of all time, and during the course of his life wrote at least thirty-eight plays and over one-hundred-and-fifty poems. His works include Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Henry IV, Henry VI, Richard III, and more. Complete in seven volumes. Including an introduction by John Britton and a preface by noted biographer and lexicographer Dr Samuel Johnson. Including an detailed informational glossary to the rear of Volume VII.Containing an engraved frontispiece and an engraved portrait of the author to Volume I. Collated, and lacking pages one to fourteen of Macbeth in Volume III.Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the title page of each volume. Pagination as follows: Volume I. Pages are otherwise generally clean throughout, especially given the age of the work. Very Good Indeed

Our library has something for every interest and specialism. We deliver worldwide using a fully tracked and insured courier delivery service.
Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
