Novel about a compulsive gambler trying to quit with little assistance or understanding from his wife, was made into a movie in 1934 starring Edward G. Robinson and Genevieve Tobin, remade as "Wine, Women and Horses" in 1937. Spine has major fading, otherwise a clean, square copy. Record # 370374
