George Routledge and Sons, 1878. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1878. The Steel Plate Edition. 363 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with black and gilt decoration. Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is slightly shaky, due to cracking to gutters, but all pages remain attached. Some pages remain uncut. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Spine is severely sunned, with visible crushing and splitting to ends. Faint black marks overall, with a few small white marks to front board. Gilt is bright.
