Sobre este item

Augusta, GA: Pritchard, Abbott, & Loomis, 1860. First Edition. Leather. Very Good. Subtitled: "Comprising the Writings of Hammond, Harper, Christy, Stringfellow, Hodge, Bledsoe, and Cartwright, on this Important Subject, by E. N. Elliott, L.L.D., President of Planters' College Mississippi...With an Essay on Slavery in the Light of International Law". 908 pages with 4 pages of advertisements. Interior pages have light, occasional scattered foxing. Endpapers are foxed; a bookplate is on the front pastedown. The first free endpage and the following 2 pages are toned and chipped at the edges. Leather boards are rubbed, scuffed and toned; the corners are chipped and rubbed to the cardboard. The spine is missing, but has been rebound (with the original boards) with library binding; cloth tape has also been applied to the inside hinges. As a result, binding is sound and square. Pictures available upon request.
