Blue coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed decoration and author's initials to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper with red coloured decoration to the lower edge of the front panel with red coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. In this book the titular character, Conrad, is middle-aged and is pining for the passions of youth. He decides to recapture these pleasures of youth with unexpected results ... Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges and rubbing of the top corners and lower book edges. The top book edge is somewhat bumped and dusty. Some rubs and marks to the book panel panels and there are scattered fading spots to the panels. A couple of holes can be seen to the top spine gutter edge of the front panel. There is a printing fault to the lower left-hand corner of the front panel where the cloth is somewhat creased. Tanning and foxing to the text block edges and tanning of the pages. A few foxing spots to the first few and last few pages of the book. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy sunning, rubbing and marking of the dustwrapper panels and fold over panels with very noticeable sunning to the backstrip.
