London: William Glaisher, 1883. [Philosophy] FINE LEATHER BINDING. Octavo (20 x 14cm), pp.[6]; 568. With numerous engraved plates as well as a frontispiece portrait of the author. Red half morocco, bouquet marbled paper over boards. Gilt titles, gilt tooling, and raised bands to spine. Bouquet marbled endpapers and edges, matching the design on binding. Interior lightly toned with some foxing to preliminaries. Minor damage to both hinges. Marbled boards marked and heavily rubbed. Rubbing also to spine, joints, and extremities. Very good.
