Sobre este item
New York: Harcourt, Brace & World, 1966. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. This is the story of Jim Hislop, the last European Chief Game Warden of Malaya. He knew the jungle both as a conservator of nature and wildlife and as a killer of men and women. His jungle skills were used by the British Government firstly in undermining the Japanese during World War II and then challenging the Communists in the Malayan 'Emergency' where the jungle provided the insurgents with many a safe haven. The book also recalls the thrills and dangers of the Malayan jungle in the mid 20th century. Very Good Hardback in a Very Good Dust Jacket 271 pages with a few maps and black and white plates. Weight: 0.7 kg Post free within Malaysia The dust jacket has minor rubbing in places. The binding is tight, text clear and there is minimal tanning throughout.
