Henry Mr. Stanley (1841-1904) correspondent of various newspapers in Asia minor and Abyssinia, is sent in 1869 by the editor association of the New York Herald Tribune in equatorial Africa, with for mission to find David Livingstone 1813-1873), left to research the source of the Nile and disappeared. It will take him long months to discover the explorer. He will reach on November 10, 1871 the point where Livingstone is blocked on the banks of lake Tanganyika, in Tanzania. Livingstone is sick and have no provision more. Stanley is often remembered for the words uttered to Livingstone upon finding him: 'Dr. Livingstone, I presume?' some foxings without gravity. Cft.
