Sobre este item
U.S.A: New Press, 1995. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7. Type: Hardback Third Printing. Hardcover Book and Jacket in Very Good Condition. A collective portrait of our times, from the voices of seventy very different people, from age 70 to 99. Their stories together give a remarkable picture of American life and work througout the 20th century and underscore the ways in which times have changed. Terkel chose for his interviews those with a wide range of experiences around the country, from the angry Nebraska farmer to the resigned New York bank president, and those at the vanguard of various movements, trade unions, gay liberation, the arts. He found amazing resilience, vigor and courage in these persons who lived the 20th century. The book is bound in black half cloth with gilt titles and stripes on spine, black paper-wrapped boards, clean and unmarked with light rubbing to lower board edges and light scuffing to spine head and heel edges. Tight, solid and square. Internals in Fine Condition. Dust jacket is clipped, clean, with light wear to some extremities. 468 pp. 6.5 x 9.5 inches. 1995, New Press, USA
