Faber, 1936. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Poor. From the library of artists Elisabeth and Cecil Collins and with their names inscribed on the front free endpaper. Cecil Collins painting 'The Quest' has often been linked to Eliot's poem 'The Waste Land', and its references to Arthurian legend and the search for the Holy Grail. This copy came from the collection of their friend, the film maker Jonathan Stedall, who inherited many of their books. Very good copy in a worn dust jacket. Jacket is not price clipped but is lacking most of the spine panel and is generally well worn. Text block with light foxing around endpapers, two old sellotape stains to title page where a newspaper clipping had been taped. Some other clippings relating to Eliot are loosely enclosed. 191 pages. Approximate size about 9" by 6". Quantity Available: 1.
