Ropes by the author, sketches by Allen Beechel and Andrew J. Nesdall, plus photographs. Account of Laurence's trip from Newport News to Portland, Maine on the four master Sarah C. Ropes, and his return trip on the Alicia B. Crosby. The author was a passenger, not a sailor. This reprint of the 1950 edition was published for the Bath Marine Museum, in Bath, Maine. Both schooners were Bath-built. VG+
