This Folio Society edition of Clarendon's History of the Great Rebellion has the binding based on the work of an unknown craftsman for @ Th Fables of PilPay' ( London 1699 ) now in the British Museum. The endpapers are adapted from pages in the first edition which showed the standards of the opposing forces. The decorated boards, binding and text block are all square, tight and clean. The cardboard slipcase has wear to the corners and a stain to one corner..
