Sobre este item

New York:: Grosset & Dunlap, 1938.. Reprint Edition.. Hardbound . BINDING/CONDITION: turquoise 'tweed' binding; the top edge tint is a matching, lighter shade; very slightly slanted; otherwise a Very Good book with a Very Good dust jacket.. 8vo (about 8.25 inches tall) . Description: Originally published in 1938, this reprint (circa 1950s) is part of the Famous Horse Stories series, and is not illustrated. Cinchfoot was only three months old when his mother died and he began to run with a herd of range horses led by a big black gelding with a white face, known as Blaze Face. When Blaze Face was caught and tied in a corral, the cowboys figured the young horse would follow him. And he did. Once caught however, Cinchfoot was no easy horse to break. Clem Brown won his heart by kindness, but even Clem didn't try to put a saddle on him until he was five years old. The called him Cinchfoot because his favorite rick was trying to get his hind foot against the saddle to scrape it off. One spring night Cinchfoot and Blaze Face got loose, and ran free -- but not for long, They were caught and put to rodeo work. Cinchfoot, now a strikingly beautiful stallion with unusual coloring -- black with a silver mane and tail -- was the pride of the show. There were many more adventures in store for Cinchfoot and Blaze Face before they finally fought free to the range herd again. And then came the final adventure, for Clem had determined to make Cinchfoot want to stay. This is part of the Famous Horse Stories series, with the series device on the spine and front cover.
