There is spotting to the prelims and first three pages of chapter one and the last few pages of the book. Edgar Mittleholzer was born in Guyana and is considered to be the first professional novelist to come out of the English-speaking Caribbean. Children of Kaywana is the first book of his Kaywana trilogy, probably his best know work, uncommon in such a nice dust jacket.
