Brian Harry Freemantle (born 10 June 1936) is an English thriller and non-fiction writer, known for his 1977 spy novel 'Charlie M'. Freemantle was born in Southampton, and has written under the pseudonyms John Maxwell, Jonathan Evans, Jack Winchester and Richard Gant. He is a Freeman of the City of London. In a black cloth binding in an unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Minor shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper is generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. There are some chips and closed tears to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. An ink inscription to the recto of front free end papers and some tape marks to the front and rear pastedowns. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
