First edition, near fine cloth hardcover with illustrated covers shows just a touch of wear including previous owner marks at top of half title page, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows light bit of rubbing and edge wear bthat includes closed tears and shallow open chipping with some scotch tape mends at jacket reverse. 292 pages with endpaper maps and 32 illustrations by the author. Still a pleasing copy of this "//tropical travel diary.." from the author of Animal Treasure.
