Hardcover. x, 318p., plenty of portrait and site photos original to the author (who sold them in Australia to finance his expeditions), hardbound American first edition in 8.5x5.5 inch black cloth boards gilt. A much-handled copy with spine titling rubbed to near-illegibility, both hinges cracked (affecting the endsheet maps), cloth bears flecks of offset color, fair-only condition, clean and unmarked within, a good reading copy.
