Otherwise, pages clean and free from marking, soiling and staining. Prize inscription dated 1868. Binder's ticket ("L. Schwarz Buchbinder"). Bound in contemporary green cloth with embossed borders to both boards. Covers lightly soiled and worn. Hinges starting to split at top, though both boards firmly attached. A highly illustrated period account with interesting astronomical, geological, and ethnographical details.
