Third edition, second impression. xviii, 316pp, with 53 colour photographs, 27 black and white photographs , eight maps and 2 diagrams in text. In green cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth gently rounded at spine ends, a tad rubbed on edges. Upper text block edge darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, not price clipped, lightly bumped along rear upper edge. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style protective wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. No. 10 in Collins' New Naturalist series.
